River Pine Plywood - Warranty Terms & Conditions

1. The warranty applies exclusively if a complaint or request for replacement is submitted within 30 days from the purchase date, prior to utilizing the material further. Defects encompass: i. Ensuring the product aligns with relevant manufacturing standards (e.g., IS 710 for Marine Plywood, IS 303 for Commercial Plywood, or any other applicable BIS standard). ii. Guaranteeing no separation occurs between the plies and their bonds.

 

2. The purchase of River Pine products must be registered via an Authorized Dealer within one month of the invoice issuance date. Failure to register within the stipulated timeframe may result in the warranty being voided.

 

3. To file a complaint and make a claim under this warranty program, the customer must present both the original invoice and the warranty certificate issued by the company.

 

4. The invoice must distinctly state the brand, quantity, and value of each purchased product to validate the warranty claim.

 

5. Customers are required to register complaints either through the authorized dealer or directly with the company.

 

6. This warranty is valid solely for the period mentioned in the warranty card, starting from the warranty start date specified in the warranty card, provided all stipulated conditions are duly fulfilled.

 

7. The liability of River Pine is strictly limited to replacing damaged River Pine branded products. No financial claims or compensation will be entertained.

8. We offer a 200% guarantee, meaning we will replace damaged River Pine branded products with two times the quantity originally purchased. This applies exclusively to manufacturing defects and borer/termite damage, with no cash or financial compensation provided.

 

9. The warranty becomes void if the consumer or purchaser breaches any of the warranty conditions.

 

10. The company reserves the right to extract samples from the damaged portion of the products and send them for physical and chemical examination to any of the following locations: a. National Test House b. Shriram Test House, Delhi c. Bureau of Indian Standards (B.I.S.) d. Other government-recognized laboratories.

 

11. For River Pine branded products, Hero Foods Pvt. Ltd. will only consider replacement requests upon receipt of a certificate from the testing facility confirming the manufacturing defect and after visual, chemical, and physical examinations verifying the product’s authenticity as genuine River Pine Plywood. Testing may include checks for bonding strength, moisture content, and structural integrity.

 

12. This warranty is void if River Pine branded products are combined with materials from other brands or if substandard untreated timber (e.g., non-seasoned wood, moisture content >15%) is used in furnishing.

 

13. Any dispute regarding warranty clauses or other matters shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ludhiana.

 

14. The warranty does not apply in instances of commercial or economic loss, including any direct, incidental, or consequential losses associated with it.

 

15. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from natural disasters or acts of God, such as floods, fires, and events beyond the company's control, including terrorist attacks and riots.

 

16. Hero Foods Pvt. Ltd.'s liability is strictly limited to the replacement of damaged River Pine branded products. Company will only replace River Pine branded products explicitly listed in the invoice.The company shall not be responsible for any of the following:

i. Costs associated with the removal of defective or damaged products.

ii. Expenses incurred for the re-installation of the replacement product.

iii. Labor charges of any kind.

iv. Costs related to the replacement of frames, structures, or any supporting hardware.

v. Any additional expenses, including but not limited to mica, polish, adhesive, or other materials.

 

17. Hero Foods Pvt. Ltd. offers warranty coverage against borer and termite damage under specific conditions. Although the products are treated with specialized chemicals, the warranty does not extend to:

• Natural wear and tear, including fading, scratches, and discoloration.

• Abnormal use such as exposure to excessive moisture (>15% as per BIS norms).

• Poor maintenance or improper storage.

• Environments with severe pest infestations.

• Workmanship-related issues, including substandard installations.

 

18. The warranty does not apply if the River Pine branded product is installed or used under conditions where the installer or user is under the influence of alcohol or prescription drugs not prescribed by a medical practitioner. This clause is intended to ensure proper handling and workplace safety during installation.

 

19. The warranty is void if the product has been misused, altered, or modified by the consumer or any other individual, including unauthorized sellers. Examples of modifications that void the warranty include:

• Cutting or resizing the product.

• Applying incompatible laminates or coatings.

• Exposure to prolonged moisture or improper storage conditions.

 

20. If any other individual, including a product seller, provides an independent express warranty separate from that offered by Hero Foods Pvt. Ltd., it shall not be recognized by the company, and the River Pine warranty will be voided.
